Privacy Policy

Mirror - Cam (the “app”) is published by R B Chronicles (“we”, “us”). This policy describes how the app handles your data. The short version: it doesn’t transmit any.
What the app does on your device
- Camera frames. The app reads the live camera stream from
AVCaptureSessionand renders it to an on-screen preview layer. Frames are never written to disk and never leave your Mac. - Microphone levels. When you turn on Mic Check, the app reads the input level meter from
AVAudioEngineto draw a live bar on the preview. The audio data itself is never recorded, persisted, or transmitted. - Snaps. When you take a snap, the app screenshots the mirror window into a PNG on disk at a location you choose. Snaps are written only to the path you select in the save panel (or the folder you configured in Settings → Snaps). The app does not upload them anywhere.
- Preferences. Your settings (selected camera, window shape, hotkey, mic check toggle, etc.) are stored in the standard macOS sandboxed UserDefaults database for the app’s bundle. They never leave your Mac.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no network calls of any kind (except StoreKit purchases, below). We do not receive any data from your use of the app.
Payments
Mirror - Cam Plus is purchased via Apple’s StoreKit framework. When you buy the Lifetime upgrade or start the Monthly subscription, the transaction goes through Apple’s servers and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We receive only an anonymised App Store entitlement (no name, email, or payment details).
Permissions
The app asks for two macOS permissions:

You can revoke either permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Children’s privacy
Mirror - Cam is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information. It is suitable for users of any age.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top and post the new version at the same URL.
